BREAKING WAVES
The Hospitium, Museum Gardens
Wed 3rd December / 6.30pm
Join us at this wonderful medieval venue to experience
performances by young people form York Arts Academy’s Dance, Drama, Overture, Junior Choir, Circus Theatre groups.
St. Chads Church, The Knavesmire
Simply Strings
Sat 6th December / 12.30pm
This will be the first performance for some young
musicians, as we see the progression from First Strings
through to the more experienced players in the String Orchestra.
National Centre For Early Music
Tue 9th December / 7.30pm
York Arts Academy Senior Symphony Orchestra and
Junior/Senior Guitar Ensembles will perform an exciting and varied programme.

Open Day At York Arts Academy

Join us for an end of term celebration. Bring a friend to try out activities. Parents are welcome to drop into sessions
to see their child’s progress. Phil Redding will lead a
Composition Workshop from 10.00am - 11.00am (FREE,

rounded off at 12.00pm with Christmas Carols and mince
pies in the Main Hall.

Part of the York Early Music Christmas Festival Join York’s
young early music ensemble, as they celebrate Christmas
past through Instrumental and Vocal Music from the
Middle Ages to the eighteenth century.
The Duchess
Tue 16th December / 6.30pm
Rock, Pop, Funk and Soul bands will demonstrate their
skills at this new music venue. Breakdancers will enhance
the night with their amazing skills and techniques. In
association with Bandstrand.
